Liquid bulk gases

In all areas of industry, BUSE bulk gases play an essential role.

BUSE liquid/bulk gases are all-rounders, taking on the most varied challenges as they confront them

These can range from the purely protective, to providing control of critical processes, to acting as a carrier for substances. The protective function of these core technical gases is most commonly the primary driver.

Liquid gases are needed everywhere – whether that’s in food processing, health, industry or manufacturing.

Carbon dioxide

CO2 is used in lots of applications. It is used as a protective gas in welding, either used pure or in a mixture with argon or helium. In medical technology, it is used for therapeutic purposes and to ensure safety of application.

In minimally invasive surgery, CO2 is used for the insufflation of body cavities to help with visibility during procedures like endoscopies.

And CO2 can be used for storage in specially insulated tanks, carbon dioxide is liquefied under pressure or very low temperature.

Argon

As a cost-effective noble gas with inert (unreactive) properties, argon is used as a protective gas in arc welding, MIG and TIG welding and metal production.

In medical technology, argon can be used as a lasing medium in laser devices or as an operating gas in surgical devices.

When stored in vacuum-insulated tanks, argon is liquefied under pressure or very low temperature.

Nitrogen

A major industrial use for Nitrogen is as a coolant in cryotechnology.

In the medical field, it is used for shock freezing/conservation of ova, embryos, tissues during operation, blood, antibiotics, bacterial cultures, vaccines and to remove warts.

It is stored in double-walled containers because of its low boiling point.

Oxygen

Oxygen is used in industry to cut metal. It also has obvious medical uses, as an emergency treatment and in intensive care, or for oxygen therapy if blood oxygen levels are low (liquid at high flow rates).

The storage of liquid oxygen also takes place in vacuum-insulated tanks under pressure or very low temperature.
